It is a fairly compact camera that packs a 14X optical zoom lens with image stabilization. A wide LCD display is good for review and play back recording movie. It is very easy to use because simple button.
Both the picture and movie quality are good. You could take good pictures in low light condition. You could also adjust the zoom when recording movie. I like to set the dial to `Auto Mode’ as I can take picture by pressing the shutter button or record movie by press the movie button. I could still take pictures while recording movie. It is a good choice for traveling if you do not demand too much in photographing.

I read a lot before buying this, the main problem with it is it’s shutter lag and the complexity to make your own settings, the picture quaility is just okay. If you are to buy a compact camera don’t think twice, spend a couple of more bucks and get the LX-5, that one is amazing.
